Synopsis

Windtalkers is John Woo’s 2002 World War II drama starring Nicolas Cage as a U.S. Marine assigned to protect Navajo code talkers whose secret voice code is vital to the Allied effort. Tasked with guarding the young communicators through dangerous Pacific campaigns, the film follows battlefield action and the tense moral choices that arise when orders conflict with the code talkers’ lives. A blend of large-scale combat set pieces and a personal story about duty, loyalty and cultural misunderstanding.
