Synopsis

Jake Sully, a paraplegic former Marine, is sent to the alien moon Pandora where humans remotely control genetically grown Na'vi bodies called "avatars" to interact with the indigenous population. As Jake lives among the Na'vi and falls for Neytiri, he becomes torn between his military employers' plans to exploit Pandora's resources and the Na'vi's fight to protect their home. Spectacular visual effects and a sweeping ecological story drive this epic tale of identity, loyalty and resistance.
