Synopsis

Touching the Void is a 2003 British docudrama directed by Kevin Macdonald. It recounts Joe Simpson and Simon Yates’ 1985 ascent of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes, blending first‑person interviews with dramatic reconstructions. After a catastrophic fall leaves Simpson critically injured, the film follows his struggle to survive and the moral dilemmas faced by Yates during their descent.
